14 hours ahead – a head that’s heavier than lead

Yes, I am alive, very much so, just been busy me thinks but I have plenty to write about anyway, just very tired currently so I’ll give it my best shot, should really stop updating at night but feel uncomfortable doing it during the day for some reason :/

The reason I didn’t update last week is because it was just mainly a blur of drink, hangovers, early mornings and a trip to Newcastle. I went to Newcastle as I am currently looking at universities to go to in September to study, yep you guessed it, Media :P . In terms of why I want to go to Uni it’s mainly because of all the creativity I have, I mean I recently quit an art course at college because I had the creativity but not the talent and I could not take being taught after leaving secondary school it just didn’t feel right at all. So this new found loathing for teaching was always something that made me thing twice about going to university, but I have to many ideas, to many things I want to do in terms of creative media just to ignore it, so it looks more than likely I’ll be going to university despite a recurring conflict as to be honest I’m pretty happy with the way things are now! Anyway back to Newcastle, it was a awesome looking place with everything in one place made me really excited, but at the same time I’m nervous of a new start, mainly because of the social inadequacy and all that :P

Another highlight of last week was SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL!! I imported it faster than a blue hedgehog being chased by an egg shaped man in a hovercraft. needless to say it will melt your face with it’s brilliance, especially the Subspace Emissary being a game on it’s own basically it just brings Melee to shame really. Yet another game that will keep me amused for god knows how long, I mean I was just finishing melee (still even had some stuff to do) and playing it with my friends up till the day I got brawl on import, so goodness knows how long Brawl is gonna last O.O. While were on games (for a change) I got Mario Kart Wii today, and again needless to say it’s all you expect, great new tracks, great new weapons and MOTORBIKES!! So yet another game I’m going to be playing for years, along with double dash still though because despite it’s gimmicky feel I love the double racers and they will be sorelymissed :( Also relating back to an earlier post, the awesome looking sonic game which I thought would be on the 360 as it looked so good is actually on the wii!!! I couldn’t believe it seriously, I love my Wii right now long may it reign as king of consoles!

Moving on to this week’s activities, and I had a lot of time off work for now particular reason, so I did what a lot of people, shopped, drank and saw Angels and Airwaves O.o. Yeah I know, but my friend asked me along and I said I would go, he’s always good to hang out with despite how much the band itself suck. The gig really did feel like a whole load of fuss over nothing, I really don’t understand how people can really dig AVA’s music, it’s just slowed down punk rock with synth and Tom Delong claims to be the saviour of music because of it, it’s beyond me it really is, it was incredibly dull, and felt like next to no energy had been put in the performance the sort of which felt like the band came out and treated it as the same old same old, despite the audience creaming themselves over every word spoken and every note sang by ‘the saviour of music.’ Yep, you gotta love Tom Delong, the guy who created a band that created by the numbers inoffensive fluff so that he would not be remembered/forgotten as the guy who made nob gags and fun music with his friends (god forbid.) Also there’s the money side of it to, being paid millions to be worshipped by pubescent morons and play simplistic drivel can’t be to bad really, no wonder he loves himself. Aside from the irritating/extremely dull gig, the rest of the adventure to Manchester was fun, the train station being particularly bizarre, consisting on mainly piss heads, but of different varieties, like the drunk girls who knock themselves out and have no underwear on or guys who try and fall asleep on you or fall asleep on a escalator, then there’s the transvestites and hobos for good measure, they only come out at night as they say.

Comic wise, I had two comics planned but because of late nights and such only managed to make one which is a remake of an old comic but will link in with a story arc I’m gonna do, but the AVA gig inspired an idea for a comic in which I can’t resist in making so that will be up ASAP hopefully along with the other two shortly. But I’m feeling really positive about it because of how creative I’ve been feeling lately, mainly because of this awesome song by a band I used to had but now adore! This song will defiantly be the story for my first sort of student film!

Speaking of awesome music, new Alkaline trio songs are soo good that I never thought I could get aroused by two songs, seriously their new sounds is just to cool for school or something I’m really having trouble describing just how good they are, just don’t listen to bitchy fans which are stuck in the past!

Hm that’s all I wish to say me thinks, will update with comic soon hopefully since I’m not at work much this week again (before I go full time!) actually I will mention one of my friend’s, his deviant art account is amazing so check it out, he’s what I would love to be!

anyway till next time!

 Wes out!
